All our video transfers are done on-site at our editing studio. As with all our services each job is done in house by our fantastic staff.

We transfer all the following video & camcorder formats; VHS, VHS-C, Hi8, Digital8 & MiniDV.

All tape transfers are completed within 5 working days, this can be extended to 10 working days during the peak months of December & January.

HERE SOME OF THE MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED VIDEO TRANSFER QUESTIONS

What type of DVDs do you use?

We only use highest quality DVDs when transferring your home videos. We record footage on Taiyo Yuden high grade DVDs, renowned as being one of the leading manufacturers of professional quality DVDs.

Will the DVD improve the footage?

Unfortunately not, transferring the footage doesn’t improve the original quality of the recording. If you have focus issues or the dreaded shaky hand, this will translate to the DVD.

My tapes have a white marks, What is this?

This is likely to be mould or fungi. This can be common on tapes that have been stored in a damp location. It is unlikely we would be able to recover footage from any tapes with these markings.

Does the cost go up if i have an 8 hour footage?

No we charge per tape regardless of the length. A 10 minute clip would cost the same as an 8 hour tape. Sometimes we split the long play tapes over two DVDs. Again this doesn’t add any further cost to the transfer.

Can you transfer NTSC format?

Yes we can. Being based in the UK we mainly deal with transferring PAL format. However we have technology to convert NTSC as well

Do you transfer cine film?

Unfortunately not. We specialise in tapes rather than the old reel to reel cine film
